The stars were out in Fort St. John last night as the Association for Community Living honoured many with awards ranging from Mr. Muscle to Greatest Canucks Fan.
Held at the Lido Theatre, the Community Living Awards ressembled Hollywood's Academy Awards complete with a red carpet, shining trophies and a well dressed audience.
45 awards were handed out to various members of the community, and almost everyone was on hand to accept their accolades.
The night started with a slideshow of photos highlighting the many events put on by the Association over the last year, drawing laughter and a few cheers from the audience.
The awards were presented by Mayor Bruce Lantz and Northeast News Associate Publisher Brent Hodson, accompanied by an energetic Peter Fehr on the drumroll.
The Association also recognized some of its own, and said a fond farewell to Byron Stewart, who just completed a 6 year stint with the group.
This year marks the Association's 52nd year in Fort St. John.
