On the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 18, the bike club raced in another two lap Cactus Trails Mountain Bike Race with Pat Ferris placing first with a time of 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Ferris barely held off Kevin Shaw in the victory, as the two essentially crossed the finish line neck and neck.

The day also held a one lap event, which was won by August Battison. Battison finished first with a time of 40:00, completing the race on a non-suspension bike. Dean Lowry finished second in this one lap event at 41:00 and Geordie Morrison third at 42:00.

The bike club’s next event will be another Cactus race, which will take place this Wednesday, Sept. 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
