Dementia expert to hold education session in FSJ

Family and caregivers of those with dementia are invited to attend an education session in Fort St. John on September 19th.

Teepa Snow is a dementia expert, holding a a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Teepa has 35 years of experience in the Dementia field.

She works to help families and professionals better understand the illness.

Teepa often conducts her lectures as if she is the person with dementia.

She says this helps give the audience a first-hand look to understand the disease.

The education session will be held at the Fort St. John Health Unit from 7-9pm on Monday, September 19, 2011.
