Fort St. John recognizes long-term staff

The first went to Laura Sanders, who joined the City management team in September 2006. Laura later accepted the position of Director of Finance in 2008.

Laura has since announced her retirement effective September of 2012. Council thanked her for her time, and especially appreciated how she became an integral part of the city itself.

The second went to Sonya Wiebe, who started as a part-time Clerk 1 in September of 2006. As of this year she has moved up to become a Clerk 3 for the Community Services Department.

Council noted that Sonya excels in resolving difficult and emotional situations with customers. They are looking forward to many more years of working with her.
