Leisure pool offers new underwater bike program

Along with its regular swimming programs, the pool will now offer a HydroRider Aquabike program, a unique underwater stationary bike that allows users to pedal while immersed underwater.

The new equipment will allow users to take full advantage of the numerous benefits of an underwater environment, such as stress free training for the rider’s joints and lower back. It also helps to reduce bodily injuries and provides constant water massages

The new program can be used for a variety of reasons, including weight loss, athletic training and rehabilitation.

The new AquaRider program will be taking place during two days. Thursdays, the pool will host a beginner class called Into HydroRider from 7:10-8 p.m. and Fridays, it will hold a regular class from 7:10-8 p.m. This class will also take place Sundays from 12-1 p.m.

Drop in for these classes cost $5 per session and will run on a first come, first serve basis. The classes will only be able to accommodate 22 riders.

For more information on the North Peace Leisure Pool and the various programs available, please contact the pool at 250-787-8178.
