Local Fire Hall to host 9/11 memorial

 

Taking place on Sunday, Sept. 11, the Fort St. John Fire department will be holding a memorial ceremony in honour of the events which took place on that day in 2001.

The ceremony will take place at the Fort St. John Fire Hall and will begin at 9:45 a.m.

The event will include various speeches, as well as a song sung by one of the local firefighters. In addition, an honour guard will march, which is traditional for a formal memorial service.

The ceremony will go until approximately 10:30 a.m., followed by a pancake breakfast. 

The fire department is asking for a donations to the B.C. Professional Firefighter's Burn Fund in exchange for the breakfast.
