Local swim club dives into new season

The club, which started up for the season on Sept. 19, offers age groups for novice, intermediate, national, juniors and adults or masters. All the classes, except the adults, have already begun training for an upcoming swim meet, taking place in Fort St. John from Oct. 28-30.

The meet, will have the local swim club compete against rival clubs from Chetwynd, Peace River, Grande Prairie and Prince George.

The Oct. meet will be one of two swim meets held in Fort St. John this season and will include swimmers ranging in age from 5-18.

Despite just starting up again, the club already has resulted to a waiting list for anyone interested in competitive swimming. However, a second registration will be open in Jan. for anyone who wishes to swim for the second portion of the season.
