Northern Lights bright over Peace Region

A lot of chatter amongst residents of the Peace Region was happening on the Social Networks Friday evening as the Aurora Borealis made a spectacular appearance.

Aurora Borealis, or better known as the Northern Lights, do not show up as much in the Peace Region as they do in Northern Canada, but that didn't stop them from dancing across the sky Friday evening. The show consisted of green stretches of light going clear across the sky, which were very visible despite the amount of light the moon was projecting.

As the Northern Lights are such a rare but magnificent sight to see, we are asking those who captured them to share them with everyone on our Facebook Page. So if you had the opportunity to capture a glimpse of the lights and want to share the experience with everyone go to our Facebook Page and post them there.
