RCMP reports increase in thefts from cars

If valuables are left in your car, RCMP recommends keeping them out of sight. At night they also recommend rolling up car windows and locking the doors, as well as parking in a well lit area.

They reason that if a potential thief can't see anything of worth in your car, and the doors are locked, they are likely to look for a different vehicle.
