On the evening of Thursday, Sept.16, the bike club raced in its five lap Toony Cross on the North Peace loop and Kevin Shaw placed first in the wet and slippery event.

Shaw’s first place finish came at a time of 40 minutes and 8 seconds. Roger St. Jean finished the race in second, crossing the finish line with a time of 41:51 and Davide Loro third, at 42:15.

The bike club will be right back at it over the weekend, as they will race Sunday, Sept. 18 in another Cactus Trials Mountain Bike Race. Race begins at 2 p.m. and for more information on the Blizzard Bike Club, visit its official website.
