On Thursday evening, Kevin Shaw’s five lap time of 38 minutes and 18 seconds through the North Peace loop was enough to earn him top spot in the race.

The real competition was for second, as Pat Ferris and Roger St. Jean crossed the finish line neck-and-neck, with Ferris narrowly placing second at 40:22.

This Sunday, the bike club will be taking part in its seventeenth running of the Club Mountain Bike Championships, which will be raced on the Cactus Trails. Gary Hilderman will return as the defending champion in the club’s final mountain bike race of the season.
