Site C to undergo joint environmental assessment

Bob Zimmer, Member of Parliament for Prince George-Peace River, is pleased with the Minsters' decision.

"“It is great to see that the process will be harmonized and more efficient – as it should be."

A draft agreement of the joint review is currently available for public assessment. It outlines the process for the review and lays out a timeline for key steps in the process.

The public will have one month, from October 7 to November 7, 2011, to submit comments on the draft agreement. The draft agreement can be found on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry at www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca, reference number 11-05-63919 or the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office website at www.eao.gov.bc.ca.
