Lequiere died in hospital after being found stabbed several times in his pickup truck in an east end apartment parking lot. 28 year-old Moore voluntarily surrendered to police on May 21 last year.

She plead not guilty on January 5 of this year, and waived her right to a preliminary inquiry. She chose to be tried by a provincial court judge, without a jury.

Also accused in the case is 31 year-old Andre Paul Dupas, who is charged with second degree murder. A preliminary hearing in May determined there was enough evidence for him to go to trial.
