Teams from the Fire Department, RCMP and local businesses will be using all their strength to pull a 17,000 kg fire truck 50 feet as a fundraiser. So far five teams have been confirmed with more to come.

The pull will start at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 24. There will be awards for the fastest pull, the most money raised, and the best dressed and most spirited team.

Participants are also reminded to bring a water bottle, gloves, loose clothing and good footwear – you'll need it!

If your team hasn't yet registered, it's not too late. Contact Niki Hedges at 250-263-9266 or email [email protected], but be warned, there is a waiver to sign.

Spectators are also encouraged to attend and cheer on the teams.
