Blizzard Bike Club has busy Halloween weekend

On Saturday, Oct. 29, the bike club will be hosting its 29th annual awards banquet at the Quality Inn Northern grand Hotel.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with cocktails, with dinner being served at 6:30. The banquet will also include an awards ceremony, as well as a silent auction.

Tickets are available for purchase at Ferris Fast Cycles and cost $25 each, $10 for anyone ten years old or younger.

Since 95 Ave., the street that Ferris Fast Cycles is located on, is currently closed for paving, the shop can be accessed through the alley by Fountain Tires and Maxximum Fitness, which leads around to the front of the shop.

The next day, Sunday, Oct. 30, the club will also be holding its Club Championship Cyclo-cross, the club’s final race of the season. The race will be taking place at the High School, and will include prizes for winners and in the spirit of Halloween, prizes will also be awarded for best costumed rider and best costumed cheering person.
