On Oct. 23, the bike club raced in its five-lap, Cyclo cross, which took place at the high school loop.

Kevin Shaw won the Cyclo cross with a time of 48 minutes and 3 seconds. Roughly two minutes later, Pat Ferris and Roger St. Jean were neck-and-neck as they approached the finish line, with Ferris holding off St. Jean for the second place finish.

The Blizzard Bike Club also has two upcoming events. On Saturday, Oct. 29, the club will be holding its Award Banquet at the Quality Inn.

Sunday, Oct. 30 will be the club’s final race of the 2011 season. Sunday, racers will take part in the Club Championship Cyclo Cross, being held at the High School circuit and beginning at 2 p.m.
