Firefighters subdue large brush fire in Charlie Lake

Charlie Lake Fire Department Chief Allan Pinkerton says it took about two hours to get the blaze under control, and fire fighters were on the scene for about 6 hours.

At this point the cause of the fire is unknown. Pinkerton says there are reports that two motorbikes headed through the area about 20 minutes before they received a call. There is a possibility that their spark arresters started the blaze, but nothing has been confirmed.
