Hudson's Hope mayor running for reelection

She admits there's a learning curve when it comes to local government, and that she's settled and comfortable now. There is a lot of activity going on the the area in the last couple of years that she wants to stay on to facilitate.

As of now, she hasn't heard of any competition for the role, but says she would welcome it.

There will definitely be some new faces on council, as at least one councillor doesn't plan on rerunning.

Terry Webster has said she is concerned about the time commitment.

"I think I've done my part," she said, adding she won't be putting her name in this time around.

Nominations for City Council will be accepted from tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. until October 14 at 4:00 p.m. Information can be obtained from the District Office.
