For anyone interested and who qualifies for free influenza immunizations, Public Health Influenza Immunization Clinics will be set up starting the week of Oct. 17.

Dawson Creek will have a clinic set up on Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Dawson Creek Seniors Hall.

In Fort St. John, a clinic will be set up on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Fort St. John Seniors Hall.

Influenza is a serious viral illness and the immunization is one of the best ways to avoid contracting it this winter. The vaccine is provided free of charge for many groups of people who are at higher risk of getting influenza and its complications.

Visit your family doctor, public health unit or Northern Health’s official website if unsure weather you qualify for a free vaccine.
