Local church making winter warmer in Slave Lake

At 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, groups from the church will travel to Slave Lake to distribute warm winter clothing to residents living in the recovering community.

The group will be in the fire ravaged town for a few days, where they will give out the necessary winter clothing to anyone in need.

According to Pastor Gord Klassen, the church usually does a clothing giveaway during the fall season, but this year those efforts are being directed towards the community of Slave Lake.

If anyone wishes to make a donation before the final group leaves from the Alliance Church, located at 9904 98 St, please do so before 12 p.m. on Friday.
