Nominees offically declare run at Dawson Creek city council


Chief electoral officer Brenda Ginter confirmed that as of this afternoon, one nominee has been nominated to run for mayor, while three more have been nominated to run as councillors. Incumbent Mayor Mike Bernier has submitted his nomination package, as has incumbent councillor Terry McFayden. Two new nominees for council, James Bridges and Shaely Wilbur, have also entered the race.

Incumbent councillors Sue Kenny and Cheryl Shuman are expected to submit their nominations to run again, while councillor Theresa Gladue remains undecided.
