Rage pick up big win on the road

As soon as the puck dropped the game proved to be fast paced and physical. The Rage would get on the board early with hard working forward Jason Wark scoring a shorthanded goal. The period would continue up and down the ice with Dawson Creek holding the lead at 1-0.

The second period was underway and as a result of early offensive pressure Zac Ashdown was able to put the visiting Rage up 2-0. Again the second period was fast paced and Minot was pushing hard to get on the board. Over halfway through the second frame the Minotauros would be awarded a power play and with just seconds remaining were able to capitalize. The teams headed to the dressing rooms with the Rage up 2-1.

The third period saw the hometown Minotauros really pushing hard to tie the game. Minot was able to generate a few quality scoring chances but the Rage’s defensive zone coverage and goaltender Edward Dyson held strong throughout the whole frame. The final seconds of the game saw Dawson Creek forward Carter Page finalize the score at 3-1 with an empty net marker.

The Rage will play Minot again tonight and Mile0city.ca will have the results.
