RCMP search for vehicle after 12 year-old hit

As they walked past Kal Tire, a blue truck was exiting the rear lot of the store and rolled over the foot of one of the boys.

At the time, the driver did stop and offered the boy assistance, but his help was refused and the driver left the scene.  The boys continued on and made their way along 108 ave to about 15 street before calling 9-1-1 for an ambulance.  The boy was taken to the Dawson Creek Hospital with minor injuries to his right foot.

At this time the Dawson Creek RCMP are asking for the publics help to locate the driver of the blue pickup truck.  Police emphasize that the driver is not accused of any wrong doing and request that he attend the RCMP detachment.

The truck is described as a blue heavy duty pickup, possibly a Dodge Ram.  The driver is described as a caucasian male between the ages of 30 and 40 with blonde hair.

If you have any information about this incident, contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700.
