Councillor Bruce Christensen has handed in his papers and is running for reelection. Christensen was elected in a by-election in 2006.

There's also a newcomer in the mix: Manager of the Lido Theatre Byron Stewart has also thrown his name in the hat. Stewart also sits as the Vice-President of the Fort St. John Association for Community Living and is involved in Kidsport.

These hopefuls join Gord Klassen and Larry Evans in the city councillor race. Councillors Don Irwin and Lori Ackerman are currently running for mayor.

Potential candidates have until next Friday to submit their nomination papers.
