Locally, Travis Yagelniski took first place in Sunday’s two lap Cactus mountain bike race, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:08:58. Coming in second place was Tate Haugan at 1:12:30.

The race also featured an abbreviated distance, which was won by George Gamble with a time of 33:31.

Sunday, three members of the Blizzard Bike Club competed and finished the Penticton Ironman.

Barb Polehoykie finished with a time of 12:30:14, ending the event 16th in her age class. Rob Churchill completed the race at 12:57:35 to finish 172nd in his age division, and Dean Lowry crossed the end line at 16:21:49, to end his day 105th in his age class.

Coming up next for the Blizzard Bike Club is another Wednesday evening mountain bike race.
