RCMP located a quantity of heroin estimated to be worth $12,000 in street value.

The raid came as a result of multiple drug tips, along with what RCMP is saying was an overwhelming amount of support from the community about the suspected drug house.

The raid led to the arrest of two individuals who recently moved to Dawson Creek: a 17 year old female, as well as an 28 year old male. The two were arrested leaving their residence without indicent, and have been charged with a total of 9 drug and firearm related offences.

Both the male and female were released from custody under strict court imposed restrictions and are to appear in Dawson Creek Provincial Court on September 11, 2012.

The Dawson Creek detachment would like to extend their thanks to the community for their ongoing support. Anyone with any information regarding suspected drug houses is encouraged to call the Dawson Creek RCMP at 250-784-3700.
