Dora Cumming, a resident of the Peace Region, will be making her sixth appearance at the games, playing in the Crib event.
Despite medaling in previous events, she says the reason she continues to return isn’t the idea of winning, but the comradery the games provide.
"[The games] are great. They are entertaining for everyone. We go there to enjoy ourselves. If you win that’s a bonus, but you go, have fun and just enjoy the companionship."
The competitors' flight is currently on its way to Burnaby, with the games set to begin today, running until Saturday, August 25.
