The annual cancer fundraiser sends law-abiding citizens to "jail", forcing them to raise money before being released from captivity.

The event allows for friends, family and even bosses to be nominated for the arrests, which will help raise money for the Cops for Cancer Tour de North bike ride, from Prince George to Prince Rupert.

Once the arrest warrant has been served and the "perp" is behind bars, prisoners have to raise money in order to be released, which will all go towards cancer research.

Tax receipts will be available.

Anyone wishing to nominate someone for an arrest can download a "warrant" attached below, or pick up a form from the Fort St. John RCMP detachment.

The date and time of the fundraiser has yet to be announced.

The 2012 Cops for Cancer Tour de North takes place from September 14-20, 2012.
