No other residents threw their name into the hat for Liberal candidate.

Pimm was elected to MLA in the 2009 provincial election, with 43 per cent of the riding's votes. He beat out Independent Arthur Hadland, who sits as Peace River Regional District Area C Director, who earned 31 per cent of votes in the riding. He replaced Richard Neufeld, who had been MLA for the area since 1991.

Pimm will officially announce his candidacy at the Quality Inn Northern Grand tonight.
