After trailing by a single point at the conclusion of the first quarter, Canada matched the pace of Australia and eventually pulled ahead in the third quarter by outscoring the Australians by five points.

It was another strong performance by Canada's Patrick Anderson, who played the entire game, scoring a game high in points (34), assists (8) and rebounds (10).

Fort St. John's Bo Hedges scored two points and earned four assists in his 18:18 minutes of play time.

It was a stellar run to a gold medal victory for the Canadians, who did not suffer a loss throughout their entire tournament.
