Fort Nelson also set a record with a high of 27 point four, but although the Dawson Creek airport station recorded the same temperature, it was not a record. Elsewhere, Lytton took the provincial hot spot honors with a record mark of 32.1.

There appears to be no break in the abnormally warm weather in this area, for at least another three days. This could be another 26 degree day as that's the new forecast high, and it means another record is possible, since the current September 21st mark is 26.3 set in 1987.

The September record for Fort St. John is 30 degrees, established on the 9th of the month in 1944.
