Placing second in the race was Richard Howes as he crossed the finish line with the stop clock reading 1:19:27, while Vancouver’s Jason Kaempffer rounded out third with a time of 1:22:47.

Roger St. Jean was the first to finish the event’s abbreviated two lap ‘short creek loop’, doing so at 1:21:03.

Tate Haugan won the ‘Roger’s Revenge’ circuit on the day, finishing the race with a time 1:04:54, while Barb Polehoykie finished first in the one lap short course, doing so at 45:00.

It’s a big week for the Blizzard Bike Club and its members, as this Sunday, September 23, the Club will be racing in the 18 club mountain bike championship in a ‘Cactus Thriller’, which will be ridden on the cactus trails.

Five time champion Pat Ferris will not be taking to the trails this year, as he is recovering from an injury.

Sunday’s race begins at 2 p.m.

However, before the mountain bike championships, the Club will hold another Wednesday evening mountain bike race, beginning at 6:30 p.m., as well as Thursday’s Toony cross, also starting at 6:30 p.m.
