An unmarked police vehicle followed the driver as he left city limits and attempted to stop him near the Forest Lawn subdivision. The suspect fled by driving through fences and into a field but was stopped when the pickup got stuck in a ditch on the 255 Road in Baldonnel.

He was arrested without incident for theft over $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and flight from police. The man is well known to RCMP and will be held in custody until his first court appearance. His name has not been released.
