The incident occurred sometime before 3:20 Sunday afternoon, when the motorcycle went into a ditch on Canyon Drive.

A male in his 50's sustained serious injuries in the crash, and was transported by the air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie for treatment. An update on his condition is not available, as the pilot and flight nurse are conducting training exercises today.

The local Fire Department provided a landing zone for the helicopter in an adjacent field, and there were no issues landing.
