The free of charge event will be loaded with information, ideas and open discussions on how to help prepare the region for the potential effects of climate change, while also touching base on reducing carbon emissions and energy use.
The first event is taking place from 12-5 p.m. on October 15, an event for only local government staff. The event will be facilitated by the Community Energy Association, and will provide support and collaboration between the region's local governments that are making progress on climate action charter commitments.
The following day, an event will be held for the public, where participants will learn about successful climate action within the region and beyond, as well as engage in activities that help identify new opportunities and methods for progress.
The day’s events will also feature lunch and refreshments and anyone involved in climate action or sustainability within the region, or interested in learning a little more, is encouraged to attend.
Both events will be held at Dawson Creek's NLC campus and if interested in registering for the event, visit its official website.
