Since she put in her notice, two Hudson's Hope councillors have also tendered their resignation in order to run for her position. Therefore, there are now three seats up for grabs on district council. Those elected will be expected to serve until December 2014.

Nomination forms are available at the District of Hudson's Hope municipal office, and will be accepted from October 16 until October 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Candidates must be over the age of 18 and be a Canadian citizen and have been a resident of B.C. for over six months.

This is also a good time for Hudson's Hope residents to ensure they are registered to vote. Advanced elector registrations will be accepted until October 9, and on the day of voting, December 1.
