The Curling Club’s doors are open all day for curlers to hit the ice, with the free program ending at 7 p.m. daily.

Curlers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to take advantage of this unique opportunity; all that is required is a clean pair of shoes as to not damage the recently flooded sheets of ice.

Those taking advantage of the open ice do not need to worry about finding equipment either, as the rink will provide all the necessary gear needed to curl.

The open ice also a great opportunity for teams competing in the upcoming curling leagues to hold a few practices, especially for new teams in the league.

The local curling leagues start up next week, and registration is still open for teams looking to compete this year.

Also taking place at the Fort St. John Curling Rink will be Beginner and Advanced Curling Clinics, with the beginner clinic taking place Saturday, October 6 and the advanced clinic on Sunday, October 7.

Registration is open for both clinics and there are still spots available if interested in registering. Both clinics cost $40 each.
