Paige won the chance to run the local fire department today by submitting a poster with a drawing of a fire hall Dalmatian on it.

The grade three Bert Ambrose student got picked up from school and was taken to the fire hall along with her best friend and "Deputy Fire Chief" for the day, Austin Dedood, in a fire truck. At the fire hall they ate a pizza lunch with the firefighters and Mayor Lori Ackerman, and got a tour of the fire hall from firefighter Sean Murphy.
Outspoken and energetic Paige says she wants to be a firefighter when she grows up, because she likes their "costumes". She now has her own firefighting suit and an unforgettable day at the fire hall to help her get prepared.
