This region still has the lowest unemployment rate in the Province with 39,200 people working in September.  The North Coast & Nechako region has the highest unemployment rate in the province at 10.5 per cent. 

The Provincial remained steady in September at 6.8 per cent.  Nationally, the unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage points to 7.4 per cent.  Alberta has the lowest provincial unemployment rate in the country at 4.4 per cent.
