The announcement was made Monday by Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz.

"Since joining the Board in 2010, Mr. Ravelli has shown a strong dedication to seeing FCC's customers, communities, and the agriculture industry succeed," he says. "I'm certain he will continue to be an asset to the Board's work moving forward."

Ravelli owns Ravelli Farms Ltd., which is a third generation, 2,500 acre grain and oilseed farm just outside of Dawson Creek city limits. He has previously acted as president of the Canadian Canola Growers Association as well as president of the Grain Growers of Canada.

Farm Credit Canada is an agricultural lender, providing financial services to farmers.
