In a collabrative effort, the B.C. Coroners Service, Forensic Identification Section and the North District Major Crime Unit, all attended the scene, which is curently still being secured by the RCMP.

RCMP say the discovered remains have been confirmed to be human, however are yet to be identified.

Authorities say the circumstances surrounding this discovery are currently being treated as suspicious and the matter is still actively being investigated.
