Children are encouraged to drop off their favourite stuffed animal by 9 p.m.  The toys will be left with a camera and holiday decorations, to document their night alone in the library.

This year, the festivities will be led by Scaredy Squirrel, the star of  Melanie Watt’s new book Scaredy Squirrel Prepares for Christmas. Their friends can pick them up at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, and join them for hot chocolate and acorns, and see a photo slideshow of their adventure decorating the library.
