The Huskies' fundraising success came in large part to the team’s door-to-door efforts, as they spent a portion of Sunday venturing around town, collecting non-perishable food donations from Fort St. John homes.

Following the conclusion of the fundraiser, the Huskies personally delivered the food to the Fort St. John Salvation Army.

The team would like to extend their thanks to everyone in the community that volunteered their time to help raise funds, including the local business community, the Rotary Club, as well as volunteers from various Fort St. John hockey organizations that offered their Sunday afternoon to help with the cause.

The campaign brought together 50 local volunteers to help with various tasks, such as collecting and sorting food, providing vehicles for the team and driving the players around to fundraise door-to-door.
