However, because the new hospital permit was issued in February of last year, the year-to-date total value remains less than 20 per cent of last year's eleven month total. Still, subtract the value of that permit – worth a little more than 270 million dollars – from the 2011 total, and totals for the last two years are virtually the same at just over $62 million each.

In terms of city revenue, 289 permits have resulted in just over $314,000  this year, as opposed to $763,000 from 271 permits, including the one for the hospital, issued last year.
