In December, 40,600 people were working, an increase of 300 from November.  The unemployment rate was also unknown in November.

This region still has the lowest unemployment rate in the Province.  The North Coast & Nechako region has the highest unemployment rate in the province at 8.2 per cent. 

The Provincial rate dropped to 6.0 per cent from 6.2 in November.  Nationally, the unemployment rate dropped to 7.1 per cent, the lowest rate in four years.
