The party will feature a variety of local musical artists, including Twin Peaks, Ryan Hennessey and many more.
The event is already close to capacity, and Northern Groove creator Russell Eggleston says seeing that type of response has been a tremendous feeling.
“It’s really humbling and overwhelming. It’s great to see so much support for what this project was trying to do, and just to see so much community support, it’s fantastic.
Eggleston adds that the party isn’t just to say good-bye to the magazine, but also so pay homage to everyone involved in Northern Groove over its lifespan.
“So many people were a part of the magazine. We had over 300 people who contributed on a regular basis, and thousands of articles and pictures. There’s just so many people who are connected, we wanted to host a party to thank those people.”
Festivities begin at 8 p.m., and will be going late into the evening, with the party wrapping up at 2 a.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
