Dawson Creek MMA event featuring six title fights

It will be the first time Fivestar Fight League will be featuring six different title fights on the same card, as well as a number one contender fight.

The main event will take place in the heavyweight division, as Fort St. John’s Ryan "the Vanilla Gorilla" Fortin (7-4), takes on Karl "Freak" Erickson (4-0) with the winner to be crowned the Fivestar Fight League Heavyweight Champion.

Seeing as how Fortin has finished all 11 of his previous professional bouts, while Erickson has also never made it to the scorecard, this promises to be a slugfest for the ages.

Another Fort St. Johner will also do battle on this card, as Reece Doherty (2-0) takes on Ali Saif (0-1), in one of seven other pro fights taking place.

Tickets for the event go on sale Monday, March 18 and can be purchased from the Encana Events Centre Box Office in Dawson Creek, Fort St. John’s Fivestar Training Centre and Champions Gym in Grande Prairie.
