The morning of March 14, an empty logging truck collided with a cube van on Highway 97, and the van’s driver was declared deceased at the scene. What led to the crash is still unconfirmed, but police say foul play is not suspected.

A mechanical inspection of the vehicle has been completed, and an autopsy of the victim is scheduled for later this week. Sergeant Olivia Tremblay says those reports, along with the traffic analyst’s, will help better define the cause of the accident.
