MacKinnon and her two band mates offer a unique, and often sold out, show for those in attendance, with a unique setting where the audience sits at tables directly on stage with the performers.
The show’s vibe is said to replicate that of a New York after hours club.
MacKinnon has surrounded herself with some top-notch talent. Angus Lyon will also occupy the stage, showcasing his skills on piano and accordion. Lyon has performed with a wide variety legendary musicians such as Paul McCartney and Yusuf Islam, formally known as Cat Stevens.
Completing the trio is world class guitarist Ross Martin, who has toured with some of the finest Irish and Scottish musicians in the industry.
The trio’s performances have been described as delicate, intricate and inspiring music, which breathes new life into songs new and old, and showcases live music at its best.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available from the Cultural Centre box office, by phone by calling 250-785-1992 and online. Adult tickets cost $40, and youth $35 at the door. You can save $5 per ticket when you buy in advance.
