Administrators from the JTTC toured the Fort St. John Airport, along with facilities and program areas at NLC’s Fort St. John and Dawson Creek campuses. The tour at NLC included oil and gas training facilities in Fort St. John, and the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering hangar and the Centre of Excellence in Clean Energy Technology (Energy House) in Dawson Creek.
The group had lunch at the Fort St. John Campus, along with several Chinese international education students who are attending NLC. A formal farewell dinner was held in Energy House at the Dawson Creek Campus. Dinner was prepared by students and instructors in the Cook Training program. Dessert was hosted in the Aboriginal Gathering Space, where the guests were joined by local Aboriginal dancers.
NLC and the JTTC signed an educational cooperation agreement in 2011, on a previous visit by JTTC officials. In April 2012, senior administrators from NLC travelled to China to visit the JTTC.
